Scientific Calculator
A basic, scientific and advanced scientific calculator with trig, log, powers, hyperbolic functions, physical constants and memory functions.
Assumptions used in this calculation
- Operator precedence: Like most simple/physical calculators, operators are applied immediately in the order entered rather than following standard mathematical order of operations.
About this calculator
Working through anything beyond basic arithmetic by hand — trig identities, logarithms, powers, factorials — is slow and error-prone, especially when you need to switch between degrees and radians or look up a physical constant mid-problem. This calculator combines a standard arithmetic keypad with a full scientific mode (trigonometric, logarithmic, power and root functions, factorial, memory registers) and an Advanced Scientific mode that adds inverse and hyperbolic trig, a yˣ power operator, a mod operator, a degrees/radians toggle, and a bank of CODATA physical constants like the speed of light, Planck's constant and Avogadro's number. Operators apply immediately to the running value as you enter them, the same way a physical calculator behaves, rather than parsing a full typed expression. That makes it fast for quick checks during coursework, homework or lab work, without needing a dedicated graphing calculator or a textbook appendix of constants nearby.
Worked example
2 + 3 × 4
Result: 14 (multiplication before addition is not applied, operators run immediately in entry order, like a physical calculator)
