  • Flat commission rate: Assumes a single flat commission rate applied to the whole sale amount, not a tiered or graduated rate structure.

About this calculator

Sales reps, real estate agents and affiliates are usually paid a percentage of what they sell, and figuring out exactly how much that commission comes to — and what's left over after it's deducted — means multiplying and subtracting on every single deal, which adds up to real time and real room for error across dozens of transactions. This calculator takes a sale amount and a commission rate and instantly returns both the commission earned and the net proceeds remaining after commission is deducted, using the straightforward Commission = Sale amount × rate ÷ 100 relationship. It's useful for reps estimating their take-home pay before a deal closes, for business owners budgeting how much commission expense a sales target will generate, and for quickly checking that a commission statement matches what it should be, without redoing the arithmetic by hand each time.

Worked example

5% commission on ₹1,00,000 sale

Result: Commission = ₹5,000
