Timezone Converter

Convert a date and time between timezones.

Formula v1.0.0GlobalMethodologyReport an issuetimezone-v1
How this is calculated
Converted time = source time adjusted by the target timezone's UTC offset

Assumptions used in this calculation

  • Timezone database: Uses the IANA timezone database, applying the DST and offset rules in effect for the specific date entered, not just the current offset.

About this calculator

Scheduling a call or flight across timezones by manually adding or subtracting a fixed UTC offset frequently goes wrong because offsets aren't fixed, daylight saving time shifts them by an hour for part of the year, and not every region observes it, so the same mental math that worked in January can be an hour off in July. This calculator converts a specific date and time from one timezone to another using the IANA timezone database, which applies the correct offset and daylight saving rules for that exact date rather than just the current offset, and returns the equivalent local time in the destination timezone. It's built for scheduling meetings, calls or flights across regions, coordinating with remote teams, or figuring out what time an event in another country actually starts in your own timezone.

Worked example
