About this calculator
Numerology assigns meaning to numbers derived from a birth date and name, but actually working out those numbers by hand means summing every digit of a full date, then repeatedly adding the digits of the result together until reaching a single digit or a master number, a multi-step reduction that's easy to lose track of partway through, especially for the name number's letter-to-number conversion. This calculator takes a birth date and full name and applies the Pythagorean numerology system: summing all digits of the birth date and reducing them to find the life path number, and converting each letter of the name to its corresponding number (A=1, B=2, and so on, repeating after I=9) before reducing that total to find the name number. Master numbers 11, 22 and 33 are recognized and left unreduced rather than collapsed further, matching standard numerology convention.
