Wall putty is applied in multiple coats to get a smooth, paint-ready finish, and estimating quantity from area alone without accounting for the coat count understates what you'll actually need by half or more. This calculator multiplies wall area by the number of coats you're planning, then divides by the product's coverage rate (square feet covered per kilogram) to find total putty required in kilograms, and converts that into standard 40kg bags for ordering. Enter wall area, number of coats and your product's coverage rate from its packaging, and get a bag count ready to buy instead of working through the coats-and-coverage math by hand. Because coverage rate varies meaningfully between manufacturers and putty types (cement-based versus acrylic), always use the specific figure printed on your chosen product's packaging rather than a generic default for an accurate estimate.

Result: Putty required = 125 kg (≈ 4 bags of 40kg)
