How does print resolution (DPI) affect the pixel dimensions shown?

Pixels = (millimetres ÷ 25.4) × DPI, so a higher print resolution produces a larger pixel dimension for the same physical photo size. This is useful when a photo needs to be submitted digitally rather than printed.
