  • Nisab value: The nisab threshold is tied to current gold/silver prices, enter the current value in your currency.

About this calculator

Determining Zakat obligation correctly means first totaling every qualifying asset, cash, gold, silver and similar holdings, minus short-term liabilities, then checking that total against the nisab threshold before applying the 2.5% rate, and skipping any of those steps, or applying the rate to the wrong base, can understate or overstate what's actually owed. This calculator takes your cash and savings, gold value and other qualifying assets alongside the current nisab threshold, sums them into total qualifying wealth, checks whether that total meets or exceeds nisab, and if so calculates Zakat due as 2.5% of the qualifying total. Instead of manually adding up scattered assets and separately checking the nisab condition, this gives a direct answer for the annual Zakat calculation, useful during Ramadan or whenever your Zakat is due for the lunar year (Haul), while leaving more complex asset categories like business inventory to be verified with a scholar.

Worked example

₹1,00,000 total wealth, nisab ₹50,000

Result: ₹2,500 Zakat due
